10 lakh active cases!

New Delhi. For the first time in the third wave of corona virus, more than two lakh new cases have been found within 24 hours and with this the number of active cases in the country has increased to more than one million. On Wednesday, for the sixth consecutive day, more than one lakh active cases increased in 24 hours. On Wednesday, the number of infected people found in the entire country in 24 hours crossed two lakhs. After a continuous decline for four days, the number of infected people increased in Mumbai, then from Delhi to Karnataka, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh etc. a record number of patients were found.

On Tuesday, 27,561 new patients were found in the national capital Delhi. On Wednesday, 40 infected patients died in Delhi. This is the largest number of deaths in a single day during the third wave. 23 patients died on Tuesday. In the last four days, 97 patients have died in Delhi. The infection rate in Delhi has reached 26 percent. On the other hand, after four consecutive days of shortage in Mumbai, the cases increased on Wednesday and 16,420 new patients were found in 24 hours. On Tuesday, 11,647 new patients were found in Mumbai. Seven patients died on Wednesday.

Maharashtra received the maximum number of cases in the third wave on Wednesday. In the state, 46,723 new cases were found in 24 hours and 32 people died. A day earlier on Tuesday, 34 thousand cases were found in the state. A record number of 21,390 new patients were found in Karnataka and 10 patients died. A day earlier on Tuesday, 14,473 new patients were found in the state. That is, the number became one and a half times in one day. On Wednesday, 17,934 new patients were found in Tamil Nadu and 19 people died.

In West Bengal, 22,155 patients were found in 24 hours and 23 people died. The figures of many states were not updated till late night. After their figures come, the number of infected can go up to two lakhs. Meanwhile, for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, there was an increase of more than 1.5 lakh in active cases. The number of active patients in the country had crossed the 10 lakh mark. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the Chief Ministers of the states in a virtual way on Thursday evening amid the increasing number of corona infected.
