Indian team crosses 150 medal mark in Special Olympics World Games

Berlin. Two gold and three silver medals by roller skaters took India’s medal tally past the 150-medal mark at the Special Olympics World Games here. India has so far won a total of 157 medals (66 gold, 50 silver, 41 bronze) in these games. Now only one day’s competitions are left in the Games. Aryan (300m) and Deepan (1000m) won gold medals in roller coaster.

India’s five-a-side mixed basketball team also won gold by defeating Portugal 6-3. Earlier on Saturday, India’s women’s team had to settle for a silver medal after losing to Sweden in the final. India will be aiming to win medals in athletics, lawn tennis and cycling on the final day of competitions on Sunday.
