Amidst the whole ruckus, now the statement of the newly elected President of BCCI, Roger Binny has also come. He has clearly said about Team India’s tour of Pakistan that it is not in our hands. We can’t say where our team needs to go.

Roger Binny said that if we leave the country or go to another country or come from somewhere, then we have to get approval from the government. We cannot make this decision on our own. Anurag Thakur had clearly said that the safety of the players is supreme. He had also said that the Home Ministry will decide on Team India’s tour of Pakistan. Along with this, he clearly said about the bilateral institutions with Pakistan that our stand is clear from day one that cricket cannot be played under the shadow of terrorism.

The PCB has now urged the Asian Cricket Council to convene an emergency meeting of its Board as soon as practicable to discuss the important and sensitive issue.
