Ajay Devgan’s ‘Drishyam 2’ cleared from censor board without any cut, got U/A certificate

Ajay Devgan’s thriller film ‘Drishyam’, which came in the year 2015, did tremendous business at the box office. Now the fans are quite excited about its sequel as well. Ever since the trailer of ‘Drishyam 2’ has come out, people are eagerly waiting for this film. Looking at the trade, it is expected that it will open well at the box office.

‘Drishyam 2’ cleared from censor board

The latest news about ‘Drishyam 2’ is that the censor process of the film has been completed. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Drishyam 2 has been given a U/A certificate. The Examination Committee of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has not felt the need for any alterations in the film. There is no violence or disturbing scene in the film so, they decided to close the film with zero cuts.

It is reported that on Thursday, November 10, the makers of ‘Drishyam 2’ were given a censor certificate. The length of the film is 142 minutes on the censor certificate. In other words, Drishyam 2 has a run time of 2 hours 22 minutes. Interestingly, the first part was 162 minutes long, which is 20 minutes longer than the sequel. It is also worth noting that the original Malayalam version, also known as Drishyam 2, had a length of 2 hours 33 minutes, i.e. 9 minutes more than the Hindi remake. It was released directly on Amazon Prime Video in February 2021. ‘Drishyam 2’ will be released on November 18

Apart from Ajay Devgn, the film also stars Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav. While the first part was directed by the late Nishikant Kamat, the sequel has been directed by Abhishek Pathak. The advance booking of the film was started on October 2 itself, after which 10,000 tickets have been sold so far.
