Ali Merchant has been conferred with the Times Hospitality Icon Award for India’s Most Iconic Artist 2021-22 at an awards ceremony held at Planet Hollywood, Goa. Ali was presented with the award to recognize and appreciate his 16 years in the entertainment industry.
The talented actor has over 1000 episodes of television content and 1000 hours of live shows, for which he has been recognized. Apart from being a great actor and DJ, Ali is also an anchor and music producer. Commenting on the occasion, Ali said, “It always feels special when you are awarded for hard work and it is a disaster for an artist to be normal, we need inspiration on a regular basis. The awards definitely motivate me to do better and better every time.”
In his immense career, Ali has been featured as a lead character in shows like Sadda Haq, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Amber Dhara, etc. The characters played by him on the small screen have received a lot of love over the decades due to his dedication and passion. In his acceptance speech, Merchant said, “Thank you to The Times Group for acknowledging the dedication and hard work of my years in live, fiction and non-fiction entertainment. Thank you to all the channels, labels, club owners, event companies etc. for inspiring me to regularly organize events for my patrons.
