Amateur Asia Pacific Championship: Avani Tied 24th and Nishna Tied 35th

Singapore. Indian golfers Avani Prashant and Nishna Patel carded three-over 75s in the final round of the Women’s Amateur Asia Pacific Championship (WAAP) to finish tied-24th and tied-35th respectively on Sunday.

Avni, the individual champion of the Queen Sirikit Cup, shot 73-71-74-75 for a total of 5-over 289. Meanwhile, Nishna, participating in the WAAP for the third time, shot 71-72-77-75 to finish tied-35th after shooting a seven-over total of 291.

Only these two Indian golfers could make the cut. Anika Verma, Vidhatri Urs, Mannat Brar and Lavanya Jadon had missed the cut. Elia Galitsky of Canada carded a four-under 68 in the final round to win the title.
