Amitabh Bachchan sends legal notice to Pan Masala brand for showing in ad despite contract expiring
Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has sent a legal notice to pan masala brand Kamala Pasand as the company continues to air their advertisements even after the contract expires. On his 79th birthday in October, Big B withdrew from the advertising campaign of the brand Paan Masala. Weeks later, the National Anti-Tobacco Organization reportedly requested them to refrain from endorsing pan masala as it could help save youth from tobacco addiction. ( notice to pan masala brand)

Sources in Big B’s office have confirmed to ANI that a legal notice has been sent to Kamala Pasand by the veteran actor’s team. Bachchan’s office finds out that a legal notice has been sent to Kamala Pasand, with Bachchan immediately seen to stop airing the TV commercials.. and to continue airing the TV commercials. For the unversed, the Don star himself revealed that he stepped down as the face of the pan masala brand in a blog post he shared on the occasion of his birthday.

A statement shared on his blog that says from Amitabh Bachchan’s office..Kamala Pasand… A few days after the ad aired, Bachchan contacted the brand and walked out of it last week. Upon investigation of this sudden move – it turns out that while Bachchan was associated with the brand, he was not aware that it came under surrogate advertising.
