Anil Kashyap won gold medal in Veterans National Table Tennis

Jalandhar. Assam’s Anil Kashyap defeated Reserve Bank of India’s Sudhir Kesarwani to win the men’s singles title in the over 40 years category at the 29th National Masters Table Tennis Championship here on Sunday. Kashyap defeated Kesarwani in straight games 11-6, 11-4, 11-8. In the men’s singles final of over 50 years category, Manish Rawat of Maharashtra was defeated by Malay Kumar Thakkar 11-8, 9-11, 11-7, 7-11, 13-11 in a very close match.

In the men’s over 60 years singles final, Maharashtra’s Anil Rasam defeated Punjab’s Pankaj Sharma 8-11, 11-2, 11-9, 9-11, 11-8. Prakash Kelkar from Maharashtra won the title for over 65 years of age. He defeated Peter D’Souza of Himachal Pradesh in straight games in the final. The women’s singles titles were won by Chandrani De Ganguly (Above 40) of West Bengal and Ripu Daman (Above 50) of Punjab.
