Announcement of cash prize for each player of Hockey India men’s junior team who emerged winner in Sultan Johor Cup

Hockey India on Saturday announced a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh for each player of the junior men’s team that won the Sultan of Johor Cup. Apart from this, Hockey India will also give one lakh rupees to the support staff of the team. The Indian team won the third title by defeating Australia in a shoot-out.

Hockey India President Padma Shri Dilip Tirkey said in a release, “Hockey India will receive a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh for each player of the Indian junior men’s team that won the 10th Sultan of Johor Cup and Rs 1 lakh for the support staff. It is a great pleasure to announce. “He has made us all proud with his fighting spirit throughout the tournament,” he said.
