Asia Cup 2023: Should Team India tour Pakistan? Know what Harbhajan Singh said
Controversy has erupted regarding the Asia Cup 2023. The debate is still on whether Team India should tour Pakistan for the Asia Cup or not. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah has already made it clear that Team India will not go to Pakistan. In this, he has also cited security. However, Pakistan has been continuously threatening India since then. In the midst of all this, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh was also asked a question regarding this. In response to this question, Harbhajan said that the Indian team led by Rohit Sharma should not travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup. Along with this, Harbhajan questioned the security of players in Pakistan where their own people are unsafe.

Former India spinner Harbhajan said that India should not travel to Pakistan as it is not safe there and why are we taking the risk of traveling when our own people do not feel safe in their own country? In fact, this whole controversy started in October last year when BCCI secretary Jay Shah, who is also the president of the Asian Cricket Council, told the media that India would not be traveling to Pakistan for the tournament and insisted on a change of venue. Subsequently the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued strongly worded statements and threatened to boycott the 2023 ODI World Cup.

The 2023 ODI World Cup is to be held in India only. The matter was expected to be closed at the ACC meeting in Bahrain last month but no official announcement was made. The report, however, claimed that the UAE has emerged as an alternative venue for the Asia Cup 2023, although Pakistan will retain the hosting rights for the event.
