Asia Cup: Five gold, three silver and one bronze medals for Indian archers
Sharjah. Indian junior archers continued their dominance in the third edition of the Asia Cup, winning nine medals including five gold. India won seven out of eight medals in the compound category and made a ‘clean sweep’ in the individual women’s category with Pragati, Aditi Swami and Preneet Kaur occupying the top three spots. Priyansh and Ojas Deotale won gold and silver medals in the compound individual event. The Indian compound archers also topped the men’s and women’s team events.

It was only in the compound mixed doubles event that India finished empty handed as Ojas and Pragati lost to Vietnam in the quarterfinals. India won one gold and one silver medal in the recurve event. The men’s team won the gold medal by defeating Korea. The team had Akash Mrinal Chauhan and Parth Salunke. Tisha Poonia and Salunke won the silver medal in the recurve mixed team event.
