Australian wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy appointed as captain by UP Warriors in WPL 2023

Lucknow. UP Warriors appointed star Australian wicket-keeper batsman Alyssa Healy as their captain for the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL) to be held in Mumbai next month. Capri Global Holdings Pvt Ltd’s team UP Warriors has made a balanced team for the franchise based league. Healy is the most popular face of women’s cricket and also very experienced. She has scored nearly 2,500 runs in 139 T20 Internationals for Australia, including one century and 14 half-centuries.

She is also among the best wicket-keeper batsmen of the game, having dismissed 110 players in T20 Internationals. Healy said, “I am delighted to be given the responsibility of captaining the UP Warriors in the opening phase of the historic WPL.
