Bangladesh vs India | Rishabh Pant’s aggressive innings, became the second Indian wicketkeeper after Dhoni to score 4000 international runs

Rishabh Pant became the second Indian wicket-keeper to score 4000 runs in international cricket on 14 December. The left-handed batsman achieved the feat on Day 1 of the first Test between India and Bangladesh at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. high levelBut MS Dhoni is the only other Indian keeper to score more than 4000 runs. In 535 international matches, Dhoni scored 17092 runs at an average of 44.74 with 15 centuries and 108 fifties.

In 128 matches so far, Rishabh Pant has scored 4021 runs at an average of 33.78 with a top score of 159 not out.As a team’s designated wicket-keeper, however, Pant has scored 3651 runs in 109 matches with six centuries and 15 half-centuries.

BangladeshagainstRishabh Pant scored 46 runs in 45 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes. He was also involved in a 64-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Cheteshwar Pujara after India lost the early wickets of Shubman Gill, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli in quick succession.

 

 

Pant was dismissed while trying to attack Mehidy Hasan Miraj, who won the Player of the Series award after Bangladesh won the three-match ODI series 2-1.Bangladesh, captained by Shakib Al Hasan, took three wickets in the first session and Mehdi got one wicket for the hosts at the start of the second session.

Pant made his debut in 2017 and was a bit inconsistent initially but has well and truly found his footing in international cricket.
