Before the Test series between IndvsAus, the team management will make a big change in the pitch, the pitch will not turn like this

New Delhi. Former selectors and experts feel that with the current Indian batting line-up finding it difficult to face the spinners on bouncy pitches, the team management will look for live pitches in the upcoming four-match Test series against Australia, which will provide bounce from the third day. Started meeting There was a time when Indians were considered to be masters of playing spin but in recent years the team has been comfortable against fast bowling while struggling against slow bowling. If anyone’s best innings on a bouncy pitch in the last two-three years has to be seen, it has to be current skipper Rohit Sharma’s technically perfect 161 on a poor Chepauk pitch while the other top-order batsmen struggled .

An attack like Mehidy Hasan Miraj, Shakib Al Hasan and Taijul Islam had pulled India out of the game in the second Test at Mirpur last year but Ravichandran Ashwin and Shreyas Iyer brought them back. Former Test spinner and commentator Murali Karthik said playing spinners on a flat pitch is not a problem. We have to accept that our batsmen struggle while playing spin bowling on bouncy pitches. I don’t know what kind of pitch will be given but a bouncy pitch may backfire.

Considered one of the best left-arm spinners of his generation, Karthik said that even at the domestic level, there are not many players who can play spinners well. Asked who should be India’s third spinner between Kuldeep Yadav and Akshar Patel, he said it would depend on the pitch. He said, “Kuldeep is a good option on a flat pitch. If it starts picking up from day 2 onwards then characters can play. But the third spinner is not used much because you expect your two main spinners to do well. The former selectors feel that Axar Patel is expected to be the third spinner. Former national selector Jatin Paranjpe said that according to me Akshar Patel should be the third spinner along with Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. Looking at his form, he would be my first choice.

They also feel that India will not dig a well for themselves by making a bouncy pitch but they feel that the turn-taking pitch will be good from the second day. Paranjpe said that I am sure that Rohit, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli will play Nathan Lyon comfortably. His former teammate Devang Gandhi also agreed with him that Akshar should be the third spinner. Meanwhile, former chief selector MSK Prasad feels that Shubman Gill’s confidence from his recent form will be beneficial and he should be dropped as the opener.

Former India wicketkeeper Prasad said that he has no problem with KL Rahul playing at number five in Tests. I don’t think Gill should be pushed down the order. Rahul has played well in 50 overs cricket and I don’t see any reason not to have him bat lower down the order. Prasad feels that it will be a bit complicated to choose between Akshar and Kuldeep.
