Chandigarh. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday said that there is no place for hate-mongers in the state and the seeds of hatred do not germinate on this land. Mann’s remarks assume significance in the wake of violent clashes between two groups in Patiala a few days back. Addressing a gathering in Malerkotla after offering prayers at the local Idgah on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the Chief Minister said that anything can be sown in the fertile land of Punjab, but not the seeds of hatred. Mann said, “Punjab’s social unity and harmony is very strong. We live in brotherhood and those who spread hatred find no place here.
Giving a stern warning to the elements trying to disturb the peace and harmony of the state, he said, “Punjab is the land of Gurus, Peers, Fakirs, Poets and Martyrs. The seeds of hatred do not germinate here.” Mann, beginning his speech with “Assalamualaikum, Eid Mubarak”, said that he is very happy to come to Malerkotla on the occasion of Eid. He also talked about the importance of the holy month of Ramzan. He said that the festival of Eid is a symbol of global brotherhood, peace and unity. Mann, in his address, said that his government has started taking action against the corrupt and land grabbers.
“We have started action against the encroachers and the corrupt. You will see good results in the coming days.” Mann said that the accountability of those who robbed Punjab would be fixed and every paisa would be recovered and that money would be used for development works, health, education and better roads. will be done in making.
