The injury has also ruled him out of the three-match ODI series against India starting March 17. He had surgery last week after a hamstring injury flared up. Richardson tweeted, “Injuries are a big part of cricket, it’s a fact, but disappointing.”
The 26-year-old bowler said, “However, now I am in a position where I can do things of my choice. I will keep working hard to become an even better player. One step back, two steps forward. Let’s do it.” Richardson has played three Tests, 15 ODIs and 18 T20Is for Australia.
