Big update about IPL 2023, know when it will start, auction will be held on this day

According to the information, the process of auction of season 16 of IPL will be held in Kochi on 23rd December. However, the question still remains as to when the IPL 2023 will start. A big update has also come regarding this. According to the information, IPL 2023 will start from 1st April. That is, this time IPL will start with a delay of seven to eight days.

The reason for the late start of IPL is also that this time women’s IPL is being organized. The opening season of the Women’s IPL will start from March 3 and will run till March 26. This is the reason why the 16th season of IPL is witnessing a delay of 7 to 8 days. This information has been received by quoting sources. Whereas, the option will be organized on 23 December 2022 in Kochi. Many big players will bid for this option. The news is that a total of 991 players have registered themselves for the mini auction. Out of this, 714 are Indian players while 277 are foreign players. Both women’s IPL and men’s IPL will be played in India only.

Earlier, the BCCI had invited bids for the media rights of the Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL) for five years from 2023 to 2027. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah had said that the Governing Council of the IPL has invited bids through a tender process from reputed companies to acquire media rights for the 2023-2027 season of the Indian Premier League for women. Whether the bid for media rights will be a one-time sealed deal or will be incremental e-auction bids, it has not been told in detail.
