Farah Khan was born on 9 January 1965 in Mumbai. Farah Khan’s mother’s name is Maneka, who is the sister of screenwriter Honey Irani. His brother’s name is Sajid Khan who is a famous film director. Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar are Farah’s cousins. The special thing is that Farhan Akhtar’s birthday also falls on 9 January, that is, Farhan and Farah share their birthdays on the same day.

Farah studied Sociology from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. She was greatly influenced by Michael Jackson and pursued dance as her career. He learned dance on his own and formed a dance group. When choreographer Saroj Khan left the film ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’, Farah took that place. After this he choreographed in many songs.

She met Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of ‘Kabhi Haa Kabhi Na’ and since then they became good friends and started working together. He was nominated for the 2004 Tony Award for Best Choreographer for his work in Monsoon Wedding, Bombay Dreams, Vanity Fair. He has also received the Filmfare Best Choreography Award 5 times.

His first film as a director was ‘Main Hoon Na’ in which Shah Rukh was the hero of the film. This film was a super hit at the box office. His second film ‘Om Shanti Om’ earned the highest during its release and the film was well received in the country as well as abroad. At the same time, the film ‘Tees Maar Khan’ directed by him became a flop.

Farah made her debut as a lead actress in films with the film ‘Shireen Farhad Ki To Nikal Padi’ in which her hero was Boman Irani. His film ‘Happy New Year’ proved to be a big hit which was a film with a long starcast and once again the lead actor of the film was Shahrukh Khan. She also choreographed Kylie Minogue for the song ‘Chiggy Wiggy’ from the movie ‘Blue’.

She hosted the celebrity chat show ‘Tere Mere Beech Mein’ and judged shows like Season 1 and Season 2 of Indian Idol, Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar, Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega and Dance India Dance Little Masters. She also appeared as a judge in the show Just Dance aired on Star Plus along with Hrithik Roshan and Vaibhavi Merchant. She has also hosted Bigg Boss.

Farah’s husband Shirish Kunder was an electronic engineer before coming to Bollywood and used to work in Motorola company. After working in the company for four years, Shirish changed the industry and came to try his luck in Bollywood. Shirish worked as an editor in the film industry. Shirish first met Farah on the sets of the film Main Hoon Na.

No one thought that the two would ever get married, but suddenly one day Shirish proposed Farah. At that time Farah was 32 and Shirish was 25. Farah took a long time to say yes to Shirish, but eventually both got married in the year 2004. After four years of marriage, Farah Khan gave birth to triplets children.

After marrying Farah Khan, Shirish also wrote the story of films like ‘Tees Maar Khan and Joker’, but both the films were beaten at the box office. Because of Shirish, there was a rift in the relationship between Farah Khan and Shahrukh Khan. Both were famous in the industry as brother and sister, but once Shirish had tweeted something wrong about Shahrukh’s film ‘Raavan’. Due to which Shahrukh Khan got very angry with him.

Once in Sanjay Dutt’s party, Shahrukh slapped Shirish. Then Farah had pacified both of them. Shirish Kund is also often in discussion about his objectionable tweets. Recently, he had made a tweet calling UP CM Yogi Adityanath a ‘gunda’. For which an FIR was lodged against him. Seeing the ruckus, Shirish deleted his tweet from Twitter.
