According to Pakistan’s Geo News, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Cricket Board have supported the Asia Cup to be played outside Pakistan. Both the countries are keen to get the Asia Cup out of Pakistan. If both of them remain adamant, then somewhere it will be difficult for Pakistan to get the Asia Cup on its land. Once again there is a possibility that the Asia Cup can be played at a neutral venue. At present, the United Arab Emirates is leading the race where the 2022 Asia Cup took place. The report further claimed that both the cricket boards, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have shown interest in hosting the tournament this year

Earlier, Najam Sethi, chairman of the managing committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board, had clearly said that we will not let the hosting of the Asia Cup go at any cost. Najam Sethi clearly said that we cannot give the responsibility of organizing the tournament to anyone else. We have made preparations to conduct the Asia Cup on the basis of hybrid model. He said that it is very good if the Indian team comes to Pakistan. If it does not come, then comparisons can be made on neutral revenue. He also told that its information and complete schedule has been given to the Asian Cricket Council.
