New Delhi | The Central Government is on alert mode on the rapidly spreading corona infection and Omicron cases in the country and has asked all the states to ensure oxygen and health services. After 1 lakh 17 thousand 100 new cases of corona were reported in the country in the last 24 hours on Friday, the number of active cases has increased to 3 lakh 71 thousand 363. In such a situation, the central government has asked all the states to be alert regarding medical services.

Oxygen equipment ready to deal with emergency
Keeping in mind the lack of oxygen in the country due to the second wave of Corona, the Center has asked the states to ensure that this time there is no shortage of oxygen in the hospitals. At the same time, it is the primary responsibility of the states that all the oxygen equipment (Central Govt Instructions to Oxygen) in health facilities are working properly and ready for use in any emergency.

High level meeting of Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan
Presiding over a high-level meeting with representatives of states and union territories on Friday, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has asked for a strong focus on health services in the country. The Central Government has said that, by maximizing the funds required under the oxygen equipment item, enhance the facilities in the hospitals and share the information on the expenditure on the NHM-PMS portal. He reviewed the preparedness related to various equipment including ventilators, PSAs, oxygen plants, oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders so that the corona could be dealt with in a timely and effective manner.
