Cricket: West Indies appoint Andre Cooley as interim head coach

St. Jones. West Indies have appointed Andre Cooley as the interim head coach of the team for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe and South Africa. Cricket West Indies announced on Wednesday that Cooley will take up the role of head coach during the two-Test series against Zimbabwe, starting January 28, and then the multi-format series against South Africa, starting February 21.

“It is a special honor to be appointed coach of the West Indies team for the upcoming tours of Zimbabwe and South Africa,” Cooley, who hails from Jamaica, said in the statement. West Indies cricket has a special place in my heart. The West Indies team will play two Tests, three ODIs and three T20 Internationals in the tour of South Africa.
