Shami shares tricks with Afridi, Gavaskar gives advice to Babar

Ahead of the much-awaited T20 World Cup match between India and Pakistan, players like Mohammed Shami and Shaheen Shah Afridi were seen sharing tricks with each other here on Monday, which also sends a positive message to the cricket lovers of both the countries. While Shami and Afridi talked to each other about bowling, Sunil Gavaskar, the legendary batsman of his era, taught batting tricks to Pakistan captain Babar Azam.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released a video on Twitter in which Shaheen is shown praising Shami’s ability to bowl with the seam. Shaheen said, “I have been following you ever since I started bowling. Your wrist position and seam are not the answer.” In response, Shami said, “If the release point (time to release the ball) is good, then the seam will also be fine.”

Shami took the ball in the 20th over in the warm-up match against Australia and took three wickets to give India a six-run victory. In another warm-up match, Pakistan lost to England by six wickets. Shami was not included in the original team of India but was later included in the team due to the injury of Jasprit Bumrah. Both Shami and Afridi practiced together in the nets.
