T10 League: Delhi Bulls beat Northern Warriors thanks to Shiraz Ahmed’s sharp bowling

Left-arm fast bowler Shiraz Ahmed took three wickets for just two runs in the last over as Delhi Bulls beat Northern Warriors by four runs in the Abu Dhabi T10 match. Northern Warriors needed just seven runs to win the match in the last over, but Shiraz got Sherfane Rutherford 26, Usman Khan 47 and Mark Deyal without opening the account to give the team victory. Invited to bat first, Delhi Bulls posted a challenging score of 119 for 4 in 10 overs.

Tim David contributed 42 runs for the team. Chasing 120 runs for the win, the Warriors team had scored 64 runs for two wickets in five overs. Delhi Bulls captain Dwayne Bravo went for 20 runs in the ninth over after conceding only four runs in the seventh over. UAE’s Shiraz then bowled brilliantly to successfully defend seven runs in the last over. In another match, New York Strikers beat Chennai Braves by 27 runs.
