Djokovic beats Lorenzo Musetti in semi-finals, Alcarez out
Tennis legend Novak Djokovic made a strong move to win a record seventh title at the Paris Masters with an easy win, but Carlos Alcarez pulled out of the match due to a stomach ache. Djokovic easily defeated Lorenzo Musetti 6-0, 6-3 in the quarterfinals. Djokovic, who won titles in Israel and Kazakhstan this season, is in the throes of a record 39th Masters title.
Djokovic will face fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece in the semi-finals, who defeated unseeded American Tommy Paul 6-2, 6-4. Paul defeated Rafael Nadal in the second round. Top seed Alcarez had to withdraw from the half-match against Denmark’s Holger Rune.

Rune was leading 6-3, 6-6 and 3-1 in the tiebreaker when Alcarez decided to withdraw due to a hamstring strain. Rune will next face eighth seed Felix Auger Aliassim. He defeated 16th-ranked Francis Tiafoe 6-1, 6-4.
