Dubai Championship: Medvedev’s challenge in front of Djokovic, Rublev faces Zverev

Dubai. Top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic took a strong step towards winning the title for the sixth time after defeating Hubert Hercz 6-3 7-5 in the quarter-finals of the Dubai Championship. Djokovic, who registered his 20th consecutive win, will face former number one Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals.

Medvedev defeated Borna Coric 6-3, 6-2 in the match of the night in this hard-court tournament. Defending champion of Dubai, Andrey Rublev will take on Alexander Zverev in the other semi-final match. Rublev beat Bottic van de Zadschulp 6-3 7-6(3) while Zverev overcame Lorenzo Sonego 7-5 6-4.
