New Delhi | Covid 19 Booster Dose: To save the people of the country suffering from corona and Omicron infection, the central government is going to start booster dose in the country from today. Under which a booster dose of corona will be administered to the health workers and the elderly first. The country will be able to get a booster dose for the elderly above 60 years of age from Monday. Along with these, booster doses will also be given to health care and frontline workers.

No registration required
Covid 19 Booster Dose: In view of the increasing case of corona in the country, the central government has started applying booster dose from today. In this regard, the Union Health Ministry says that new registration will not be required for those taking precaution doses and will be able to go directly to the vaccine.

Booster dose will be same as both doses of corona
Corona Booster Dose: The precaution dose of the corona vaccine will be the same as the first two doses. In such a situation, those who have taken the first two doses of Kovishield, then they will be given a booster dose of Kovashield and those who have taken the dose of Covaccine.

Booster dose will be taken only after 9 months
As per the recently released guidelines by the Ministry of Health, the booster dose is optional, those who need it can get the booster dose after the advice of their doctor. However, it can be administered only after 9 months after the second dose of corona vaccine.
