According to the information received, the board of Twitter has accepted Elon Musk’s proposal. Under which this deal will be completed this year and Twitter will become a private company as soon as it is completed.

Let us tell you that Elon Musk had offered to buy Twitter last week. The Times quoted people with knowledge of the matter as saying that the two sides are discussing the relevant modalities in case an agreement is reached.

Significantly, on April 14, Elon Musk offered to buy Twitter. However, he did not specify how he would finance the acquisition. Twitter, on the other hand, did not comment on this. Elon Musk has said he wants to buy Twitter because he doesn’t think it is living up to its potential as a platform for free expression.

According to reports, some time ago Elon Musk had informed about buying 9 percent stake in Twitter. But now he will have 100% stake in Twitter. He has made a deal to buy the company at the rate of $ 54.20 i.e. Rs 4148 per share of Twitter. After the close of the deal, Elon Musk will make many changes in the company. He had already indicated this.

Elon Musk advocates free speech

Along with the deal, Elon Musk advocated free speech. He said that now Twitter will be made open source. He said that free speech is the cornerstone of a functioning democracy and Twitter is the digital town square where matters important to the future of humanity are debated.
