Sri Lanka had supported India

The hybrid model put forward by Pakistan to host the Asia Cup has been rejected for the time being. The Asia Cup was hosted by Pakistan. But the Indian board refused to tour there. After India’s decision, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Cricket Board also supported it. Not only this, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board is also preparing to host the Asia Cup. This is the reason why Pakistan is currently angry with Sri Lanka. “An example of the increasingly strained relations between the two boards came to the fore when the PCB turned down an offer from the Lankans to play some One Day Internationals in Sri Lanka next month,” a PCB source said.

Pakistan wants to organize four matches

PCB chief Najam Sethi wanted to host four matches of the Asia Cup in his country, but the Sri Lankan board rejected the proposal. Pakistan are scheduled to play two Test matches in Sri Lanka as a part of the ICC World Test Championship cycle. Sri Lanka wanted to add some ODIs to the tour. Pakistan was ready for the Games.
