The farmers’ organizations, who participated in the Kisan Mahapanchayat, bluntly said that the farmers’ movement would end only when the government enacts a law to guarantee the minimum support price (MSP). The issue of Lakhimpur violence figured prominently in the mahapanchayat held on Monday and the families of farmers killed during the agitation were also honored on the stage. Swaraj Abhiyan leader Yogendra Yadav attacked the Center and said that the Prime Minister of the country is suffering from a disease of arrogance. Its treatment is done by the public. He said- Bengal had given a small injection. Now the biggest injection will have to be given and that will be the election of Uttar Pradesh.

Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait said- The government wants to make Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni a hero. We will make him a hero in Agra jail. He killed farmers, he is also a terrorist. Tikait said- The government should discuss the MSP guarantee law and other issues, otherwise we are not going to go. He said that the coming 17 laws are our target. Our tractor march program is on 26th. The law will be back from December 29 to 2. We do not want to go to the village after taking account of the cases. Reminding Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said – In 2011, a committee was formed on MSP. At that time Narendra Modi was the chairman of that committee. Then it was reported that a law should be made on MSP. Even today that report is in the PMO. Now PM Modi should implement his own report. Tikait said about the prices of grains – In 1967, one tola of gold was available for three quintals of wheat. Even today, give one tola of gold to three quintals of wheat. He said- This movement has been going on for a year. This movement is not only on three agriculture laws, but also on MSP and electricity bill. The farmer will not go back until talks are held.
