Sindhu and Prannoy out of Singapore Open, Kidambi Srikanth reaches next round

It hasn’t been a good start for India in the Singapore Open. Olympic medalist PV Sindhu and Malaysia Masters winner HS Prannoy suffered first round exits. Kidambi Srikanth gave India some happiness. He has achieved success in making it to the second round.

World Championships 2021 silver medalist Srikanth defeated Thailand’s Kentaphon Vengcharon in straight games 21-15 21-19 in the men’s singles first round. Former world number one Srikanth will next take on the winner of the match between Japan’s Kenta Nishimoto and Chinese Taipei’s Chiao Hao Li.
