Fast bowler Maurice’s statement came before the start of IndvsAus, said- bowling on Indian pitches will be challenging

Melbourne. Young Australian fast bowler Lance Morris believes bowling on Indian pitches during the Border-Gavaskar series will be “challenging” but it will be a huge learning opportunity for him. Pat Cummins’s Australian team will begin their Test and ODI tour of India with the first Test in Nagpur from February 9. The 24-year-old Morris has been named in Australia’s 18-man Test squad and could get his chance in the four-Test series against India after missing out on his debut in the third and final Test against South Africa in Sydney.

Maurice on Tuesday“To be honest, the feedback (of bowling pace in India) hasn’t been very good,” he told ‘SEN Radio’. The winner of the Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year award this year said, I am not keen on the ball, I will not see the ball going fast to the wicketkeeper and he will not catch the balls in the gloves with the finger up. It looks like it is going to be a bit challenging but it will be exciting nonetheless.

Morris said that on a personal level, he is looking forward to nothing more than being around experienced players and learning how to bowl on subcontinental pitches. He said, “We have some veteran players in the team and a really experienced team now. It is good to get a chance to learn from him in a few training sessions. I don’t want to put too many expectations on myself. I want to use this as a learning experience. I have never toured with the team before so this will be my first overseas experience. “Maurice said,” This is going to be a big learning opportunity for me.
