ICC T20I Rankings | Suryakumar Yadav remains at number one, Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan is behind

Looking at this performance, Suryakumar Yadav has maintained his dominance in the ICC rankings as well.India’s middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav retained the top spot in the ICC T20 rankings for batsmen after his impressive performance in the T20 World Cup in Australia. Earlier, Pakistani batsman Mohammad Rizwan remained at number one for a long time.

Suryakumar became the number one batsman in the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup with three fifties in five innings. This gave him a career best 869 rating points. Being dismissed for 14 in the semi-final against England saw it drop ten points but retain top spot. Surya scored 239 runs in the World Cup at a strike rate of 189.68 and finished third in the list of highest run-scorers.

England’s Alex Hales made an unbeaten 47-ball 86 in the semi-final against India to move up 22 places to 12th position.In the top 10, Pakistan captain Babar Azam climbed a place to reach the third position. South Africa’s Riley Rossouw moved up to seventh while New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips dropped a place to eighth. Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan remained at the second spot and South Africa’s Aiden Markram at the fifth spot while Devon Conway slipped to the fourth spot.

Among bowlers, England’s Adil Rashid climbed five places to reach the third position. He did well against India in the semi-finals and against Pakistan in the final. Sam Curran, who was Player of the Tournament and Player of the Match in the final, has moved up two places to fifth. Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga remains at the top while Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan is at the second spot. Among the all-rounders, Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh is at the top, Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan is second and Hardik Pandya of India is at third place.
