FIFA World Cup: Brazil fans carry pictures of Pele for the match against South Korea

Images of football legend Pele abounded on shirts, flags and banners of Brazilian fans ahead of their World Cup match against South Korea on Monday. In these pictures, Pele holds the World Cup trophy with his Brazilian teammates. The 82-year-old veteran is hospitalized in Sao Paulo due to respiratory problems. The news came from Brazil on Monday morning that he is now better than before. It was cause for celebration for Brazilian football fans.

He showed his respect for his great player in Qatar and wished him a speedy recovery. Brazilian fan Rafael Bisanho, 35, said, “We are very happy to hear that his condition is now better than before.” He is the king of football. He is our biggest icon in football. It is hoped that soon he will reach home after recovering completely. And we get to see a picture of him watching the national team play on TV.
