New Delhi. The third wave of corona virus has started across the country. On Saturday, there has been an increase of 51 percent in the number of infected in the capital Delhi in a day and the rate of infection has also increased by one and a half percent in a day. In Maharashtra, the number of new patients found in 24 hours has reached close to 10 thousand, while in Uttar Pradesh also the number of patients has increased more than one and a half times in 24 hours. In West Bengal, the number of patients has doubled in 24 hours. After three months, for the first time in the country, the number of infected people found in 24 hours has exceeded 25 thousand. On Saturday, the active cases increased to more than one lakh 10 thousand.
On Saturday, 2,716 new corona infected were found in the capital Delhi. 51 percent increase has been registered in the last 24 hours. The infection rate in the capital has reached 3.64 percent and the number of active cases has increased to 6,360. On Saturday, 6,347 new patients were found in the country’s financial capital Mumbai. There have been 22,334 active cases in the city. On Saturday, 9,170 new cases were reported in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours. The total cases of Omicron in the state have gone up to 460. Corona cases are increasing in entire Maharashtra including Mumbai amidst all the restrictions.
On the other hand, 1,033 cases of corona were found in Karnataka on Saturday, while 354 patients were cured. Five people died in the state. On Saturday, 2,435 new cases of corona were reported in Kerala. On Saturday, 2,704 have been cured, while 22 died. Corona cases are spreading rapidly in Jharkhand and 753 new corona patients were found in 24 hours. After the increasing cases, the Center has ordered to increase the strictness in Ranchi. A record number of 4,512 new cases were found in West Bengal and nine people died.
In the election state of Uttar Pradesh, the cases of corona are increasing by 50 to 100 percent every day. On Saturday, 383 cases were found in the state. The maximum number of 85 cases have been reported in Ghaziabad, 61 in Gautam Budh Nagar, 58 in Lucknow, 48 in Meerut, 16-16 in Prayagraj and Varanasi. Earlier on Friday, 251 infected were found in a day. Only 31 patients were cured on Saturday. 1,069 new cases were found in Gujarat and 103 people were cured. On Saturday, 1,489 new cases were reported in Tamil Nadu and eight people died.
