India captures T20 series against New Zealand, third match tied due to rain

Today the third T20 match of the three T20 match series between India and New Zealand was being played in Napier. However, today’s match was tied due to rain, after which the series was captured by India. In fact, in the second match, India won a resounding victory. The first match was canceled due to rain. In such a situation, India has won this series. After today’s match, New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat first. New Zealand did not have a good start and their first wicket fell on the score of 9 runs. A good partnership between Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips in the middle helped New Zealand reach a respectable total. New Zealand scored 160 runs in 19.4 overs at the loss of 10 wickets.

Arshdeep Singh took 4 wickets and Mohammad Siraj took 4 wickets from India. Chasing the target of 160 runs, the Indian team also did not have a good start. Ishaan Kishan got out after scoring 10 and Rishabh Pant scored 11 runs. Suryakumar Yadav got out on the score of 13 runs. While Shreyas Iyer could not open his account in today’s match and got out at zero. When the Indian team’s score was 75 runs in 9 overs, the match had to be stopped due to rain. The rain did not stop after which the match had to be tied. In today’s match, the player of the match was given to Mohammad Siraj while Suryakumar Yadav was given the man of the series.

Earlier, Devon Conway (59 runs in 49 balls) and Glenn Phillips (54 runs in 33 balls) played half-century innings for New Zealand after winning the toss. Both of them shared an 86-run partnership for the third wicket. But after that the hosts lost their eight wickets in just 30 runs. New Zealand’s score was 130 for two in the 16th over but Arshdeep (4/37) and Siraj (4/17) made a brilliant comeback to bundle out the opposition with two balls to spare. India’s first wicket was given by Arshdeep when Finn Allen was out lbw on his full length ball. Allen wanted to review the decision but then went back to the pavilion. Experienced Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled tightly in the third over.
