Glenn Maxwell’s big statement about fitness, said it will take a long time to achieve full fitness

Bangalore. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who is busy preparing for the Indian Premier League (IPL), said that although his left leg injury has healed, he will still take several months to regain full fitness. The Australian player had accidentally injured himself at his friend’s birthday party in November last year after his team’s early exit from the T20 World Cup.

Maxwell had to undergo an operation after this. He recently made a comeback in the ODI series against India and is now all set to play in the IPL. Maxwell said in a video released on RCB’s social media, “My foot is fine but it will take several months for me to be 100 per cent fit.”

The 34-year-old said that he is hopeful that he will be able to play his part in the IPL for RCB. He said, “Hopefully my foot will be fine during the entire tournament and I will be able to play my role.”
