Goa hold Karnataka to a draw; Kerala, Jharkhand won

Goa batsmen put up a fighting display to prevent Karnataka from registering a win in their Ranji Trophy Elite Group C match on the fourth day of play on Friday. Goa started the day at 321 for eight in the first innings. Captain Darshan Misal (95) troubled the Karnataka bowlers by hitting 15 fours and a six in his 172-ball innings. He missed out on completing his century by five runs but pulled the team out of trouble with a 38-run partnership for the ninth wicket with Lakshya Garg (38). Be the last player to miss out.

Karnataka, who scored 603 for seven in the first innings, chased Goa on but their batsmen scored 150 for three at home to draw the match. Karnataka got three points while Goa got one point from this match. In the second group match at Thumba, Kerala chased down the target of 126 in 19.1 overs. Opener P Rahul played an aggressive innings of 66 runs in 58 balls and shared an 86-run partnership for the first wicket with Rohan Kunumal (40 runs in 27 balls) to ensure six points for the team. In the other group match, Jamshedpur beat Army by nine wickets in Jamshedpur.
