Harmanpreet said on short ‘boundary’ in WPL, players do not rope on the boundary

Mumbai Indian team and Mumbai Indians captain Harmanpreet Kaur on Saturday refused to comment on the issue of short boundaries in the Women’s Premier League (WPL), saying it is for the administrators and not the players to decide on such boundaries. In the inaugural WPL, which started earlier this month, the ‘boundary’ limit was kept five meters lower than last month’s T20 World Cup and a maximum of 60 meters on the instructions of the BCCI (Indian Cricket Board).

This decision was taken to help in making big scores so that the spectators watching the match in the stadium and on TV are entertained who get to see more and more fours and sixes. The boundaries of both the DY Patil Stadium and Brabourne Stadium in Navi Mumbai have been reduced to 42-44 metres.

When the Mumbai Indians captain was asked a question on this ahead of the final at the Brabourne Stadium here on Sunday, he said, “We have put a little rope.” Ask the one who has tied the rope. ” He said, ”It is not in our hands. It is in the hands of the officers. You can talk to him.
