Harmanpreet Trent Rockets in The Hundred while Mandhana will play for Southern Braves
London. Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur will play for Trent Rockets while vice-captain Smriti Mandhana will play for Southern Braves in this year’s The Hundred cricket tournament. The draft for The Hundred was released on Thursday with Harmanpreet being signed by Trent Rockets while Southern Braves retained Mandhana. This was the first time in The Hundred that an auction of women players was held. A total of 64 players were selected in the men’s and women’s categories.

In the men’s section, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf of Pakistan were selected by Welsh Fire. Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam was not selected by any team. Former West Indies captain Kieron Pollard and New Zealand left-arm fast bowler Trent Boult also found no takers. The Hundred cricket competition will be held from August 1 this year.
