Health Ministry revises guidelines for home isolation of COVID-19 patients, know new guidelines
New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, issued revised guidelines for home isolation of COVID-19 patients. The revised guidelines are applicable to COVID-19 patients who have been medically evaluated and assigned as mild or asymptomatic cases. As per the new guidelines, patients under home isolation will be discharged and the isolation will end after at least 7 days of testing positive and no fever for three consecutive days. The guidelines state that there is no need for re-testing after the period of home isolation is over. ( omicron guidelines )

when to seek medical help
The Health Ministry has said that the patient should seek immediate medical attention if he develops severe signs or symptoms. This includes:
Unresolved high-grade fever (greater than 100 degrees Fahrenheit for more than 3 days).
Difficulty in breathing
Plunge in oxygen saturation (SpO2 at 93% of room air at least 3 readings within 1 hour) or respiratory rate >24/min.
Persistent chest pain/pressure.
Mental confusion or inability to be aroused.

Corona cases are increasing again in the country. The cases of the new virus Omicron are increasing in the country. The maximum number of cases are being found in Delhi and Maharashtra.
