they say, “Abhimanyu is a raw character, and I don’t think I need much makeup to play that character. So whatever basics are needed, I do that myself. I don’t like much layering when it comes to makeup. Makeup artists also take some time and I don’t waste my time. I like to do my makeup in 4-5 minutes and get ready. The results are looking great on screen too, so I prefer to do my own makeup. In most shows, the makeup artist gives me the look, so after a week or 10 days, I do it myself. It’s more convenient to do my own makeup”
He’s also learning some makeup techniques. He explains, “But men usually don’t need much makeup. I think we should have a technique where we just apply the cream and the complete makeup look is done. I think girls need more technology than us. The kind of makeup that boys usually do is easy for me. It is very simple and easy. Just apply a base, a little foundation, a little base under the eyes, a little powder and that’s it.”
This is not the first time Himanshu has done his own makeup. He explains, “I have done it for my shows, Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush, Radha Krishna and Buddha. After a time I start doing my own makeup as it saves me time to read scenes, rehearse and whenever the director calls me, I am ready for my act.”
