Hockey World Cup: Harmanpreet said the Australia tour before the World Cup was beneficial, revealed his shortcomings

New Delhi. Drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh has said that playing against a strong side like Australia ahead of the World Cup has given the Indian hockey team a chance to correct their shortcomings. Harmanpreet, who captained India in the five-Test series against the world number one team, said that the Indian players scored 1. Despite the defeat from 4, he has assessed himself well.

He said, “We got to learn a lot from the Australia tour. We could only win one match out of five but to do well against such a strong team at home is a big deal. The competition was equal in all the matches. We have come to know which aspects need to be worked upon.” The World Cup will be played in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela from January 13 to 29.
