Hope the court will overturn all the laws applicable in J&K: Mehbooba Mufti

Srinagar. PDP President Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday hoped that the Supreme Court will not only stay the Centre’s decision to abrogate Article 370 of the Constitution but also all laws enacted there after the abrogation of the special status of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. Will reverse In a tweet, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir said, “A state was stripped of its legal and constitutional special status, bifurcated and made devoid of authority. Yet the Supreme Court took three years to list the matter.

“Hopefully the Supreme Court will not only give a stay order on abrogation of Article 370 but also withdraw all illegal laws implemented here,” he said.

The Supreme Court has agreed to list after the summer vacation several petitions filed against the scrapping of special status of Jammu and Kashmir and its decision to bifurcate it into two union territories. PDP President Mehbooba’s reaction has come in the same background. The provisions of Article 370 were abolished by the Central Government on August 5, 2019.
