Naxalites blew up newly constructed police station in Gumla

Ranchi. Maoist Maoists blew up a part of the newly constructed building of Kurumgarh police station in Gumla. However, the police station in this building was not shifted yet. The incident happened on Thursday night. The police reached the spot on Friday.

Let us inform that the Naxalites had called a bandh in four states from November 22 to 25 against the arrest of their top leader Prashant Bose and his wife Sheela Marandi. He has carried out this incident on the last day of the bandh. The Maoists have also left a pamphlet near the building, in which it is written that this retaliatory action has been taken in protest against the arrest of other accomplices including Politburo member Kishan Da and Nari Mukti Sangh leader Sheela Di. It has been told that the Naxalites reached here in the number of 50-60 late on Thursday night. Earlier on November 20, during the bandh called by Naxalites, some railway tracks were blown up in Barkakana-Latehar railway section and Tata-Chakradharpur railway section.

Due to the vigilance and vigilance of the police and paramilitary forces, the Naxalites’ four-day bandh did not show any effect except in the rural areas of some districts including Chaibasa, Gumla, Lohardaga, Palamu. Long distance buses ply in small numbers. Coal production and transportation in Magadha and Amrapali projects of CCL were also affected.
