Hyderabad FC regain second spot in Indian Super League after beating Chennaiyin FC 3-1

Defending champions Hyderabad FC beat Chennaiyin FC 3-1 here on Saturday, leaving behind two consecutive defeats in Indian Super League (ISL) football. Halicharan Narzary (65th), Chinglesana Konsham (74th) and substitute Borja Herrara (85th) scored in Hyderabad’s victory. This was Hyderabad FC’s sixth win in nine matches and the team has moved up to the second spot in the table with 19 points. On the other hand, the team of Chennaiyin FC, who faced their fourth defeat in eight matches, is in seventh place with 10 points after this match.

Chennaiyin FC were forced to play with 10 players after the 71st minute of the match. The team’s right-back Ajit was shown the second yellow card of the match. Due to which he had to go out of the field. Croatian striker Petar Sliskovic scored the only goal for Chennaiyin in the 78th minute of the match. In the other match of the day, ATK Mohun Bagan beat Bengaluru FC 1-0. Dimitri Petratos scored this goal for Mohun Bagan in the 66th minute of the match.
