Today at 6:30 pm, the Wimbledon Men’s Singles final will clash between world’s top-2 players No.1 Carlos Alcaraz and No.2 Novak Djokovic, after which the name of the winner of Wimbledon 2023 will be revealed. Novak Djokovic has won a record 23 Grand Slam titles and has won the Wimbledon men’s singles title seven times. At the same time, the record of winning the Wimbledon men’s title eight times is in the name of veteran player Roger Federer, who has a chance to match Novak Djokovic. At the same time, in the final match of Wimbledon 2023, the competition of experience and youth will be seen.
Djokovic is 36 while Alcaraz is 20. This would be the biggest age gap since 1974 in the final of a Grand Slam. Let us tell you that if Novak Djokovic wins this Wimbledon final match, then he will be the oldest player to win the men’s singles match of Wimbledon in the Open era. Novak Djokovic has not lost a match for a long time. He would like to win this title for the fifth time in a row.

Before the match, Djokovic praised Spain’s young player Alcaraz, comparing himself to him. Djokovic said, “He has been incredibly successful in adapting to challenges on any surface against an opponent. This has been my strong point in this game. I have felt this as my biggest strength throughout my career. Alcaraz is doing well at the beginning of his career.” When Alcaraz was asked about Djokovic, he said, “He has no weaknesses. He is close to perfection of this game. He is an amazing player and does not make any mistake in the match. He is very strong physically and mentally.

Alcaraz is at the top of the rankings while Djokovic is in second place. Djokovic, however, has held the top ranking for the longest period of time. In the semifinals, Alcaraz easily defeated the challenge of third seed Daniil Medvedev 6–3 6–3 6–3. Djokovic, however, found it difficult to beat eighth seed Yannick Sinner 6-3 6-4 7-6. Medvedev also called Alcaraz a player like the Big Three (Federer, Djokovic and Rafael Nadal). “He’s just like them (the Big Three),” Medvedev said. Alcaraz is the first men’s singles player under the age of 20 to finish the calendar year at the top of the ATP rankings. He became the winner of the US Open last year but lost to Djokovic in the semi-finals of the French Open last month.
