Rahul and Jadeja’s batting was reassuring: Pandya

After the five-wicket win over Australia in the first ODI, Hardik Pandya praised KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja, saying their batting was relaxing. Rahul scored an unbeaten 75 and Jadeja scored an unbeaten 45, being ruled out of the third and fourth Tests against Australia due to poor form. Acting captain Pandya said, “I am very happy with our performance. Jaddu (Jadeja) came back after eight months and performed brilliantly. I enjoyed my bowling and batting. But the batting of Jaddu and Rahul was reassuring.

He said, “We were under pressure in both the innings but we did not lose our composure and came out of difficult situations. Once we found the rhythm, we didn’t lose it. ‘Player of the match’ Jadeja said he was trying to adjust to the format after eight months after a knee operation and this performance came as a bonus. He said, “We were playing Test cricket and I made a comeback in ODIs after a long time. I was trying to bowl well. ”Australian captain Steve Smith said that 260 on this wicket. 270 runs should have been scored. He said, “We did not expect such a performance. India bowled well. Had we scored 250, we could have stayed in the game. The wicket helped the fast bowlers a lot.
