The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, BMC has closed schools for all classes except class 10th and 12th till January 31. His classes will run online. Significantly, more than five hundred Omicrons have been found infected in Maharashtra. Maharashtra has the highest number of Omicron infected and the maximum number of corona cases are also being found there.

After the sudden increase in the number of infected after the end of Christmas and New Year celebrations, the Goa government is imposing many restrictions including night curfew. In view of the increasing cases of corona in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the district administration has decided to limit the number of guests at weddings and stop holding big events. Due to the increasing cases of corona, the Rajasthan government has increased the restrictions. Schools from class 1st to 8th have been closed from Monday to January 9 in both the municipal corporation areas of Jaipur. One hundred people will be allowed in weddings and 20 people in funerals.

In view of the increasing cases of corona in Jharkhand, the state government has announced a mini-lockdown. All tourist places, zoos, swimming pools, gyms, spas etc. have been closed in the state till January 15. All schools, colleges, coaching institutes have also been closed till January 15, although administrative work will continue with 50 percent capacity.
