IND vs BAN 2nd Test: Third day’s play ends, India on backfoot, Bangladesh’s spectacular comeback

The second Test match between India and Bangladesh is being played in Dhaka. India need 100 runs to win this test match after the end of the third day’s play. However, chasing the target of 145 runs, Team India has lost 4 wickets at the score of 45. When the third day’s play started, the Indian team got Bangladesh all out for 231 runs in the second innings. India got the lead on the basis of the first innings. In such a situation, Team India had to score 145 runs to win. But India’s start in the second innings was very poor. India have lost four wickets for just 45 runs. Jaydev Unadkat three and Akshar Patel are on the middle ground after scoring 23 runs. India still need 100 runs to win with just six wickets in hand.

Bangladesh bowlers put tremendous pressure on India. This is the reason that currently Bangladesh seems to have a strong hold in this match. Team India is seen faltering in the second innings. Shubman Gill got out after scoring just 7 runs. While captain KL Rahul, who was struggling with bad form, got out after scoring 2 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara fell victim to Mehandi Hasan Miraj after scoring 6 runs. At the same time, Virat Kohli was also dismissed by Mehndi Hasan Miraj for 1 run. Tomorrow batsmen like Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Ravichandran Ashwin will bat for India. Shakib Al Hasan took one wicket for 30 runs in 6 overs. While Mehndi Hasan Miraj bowled 3 madams in 8 overs and also achieved three successes.

Bangladesh had scored 227 runs in the first innings, in response to which India scored 314 runs and took a lead of 87 runs. The pitch is getting both turn and bounce and Akshar took advantage of this to create problems for the batsmen. The batsmen had no answer as to whether the ball would turn or bounce or come at an angle. Akshar had dismissed Mushfiqur Rahim (nine) lbw in the morning session with a similar ball and Mehidy Hasan Miraj (0) after lunch. In the second session, he dodged the fast-scoring Nurul Hasan on a flying ball and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant completed the rest of the work by stumping him out. Zakir, Bangladesh’s best performer in this series, held one end in the morning session but lost his concentration in the second session. He made it easy for Siraj standing at deep third man by slashing Umesh’s ball.
