Popular stars of Indian cinema will embody the theme ‘India 75’ in this tribute titled ‘Cine Salaam’, which was telecasted simultaneously on Zee Cinema and Zee TV on 2nd January at 8 PM
The 52nd edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) turned out to be a grand event where top Bollywood stars celebrated 75 years of India’s independence, the diversity of the country and the growth of Indian cinema. Named ‘India 75’, the evening was hosted by Karan Johar and Maniesh Paul. Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Shraddha Kapoor, Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh and Mouni Roy graced the stage with their performances at the prestigious event which was adorned with stars. Organized in association with Zee Live, a tribute to Indian cinema i.e. ‘Cine Salaam’ was given. The event was telecasted simultaneously on Zee Cinema and Zee TV on January 2 at 8 pm.
On this scintillating evening, Shraddha Kapoor’s act will bring to the fore the power and achievements of Indian women through songs like ‘Aaj Main Upar’, ‘Kar Har Maidan Fateh’ and ‘Desh Rangeela’.
Sharing her experience about India 75, 52nd IFFI, Shraddha Kapoor said, “We have seen a big change in the way we tell stories on screen. It’s great to see that women have been a constant part of this process. I have loved my cinema since childhood, but one thing I have personally noticed is how women have shaped this evolutionary journey of cinema. She has not only been an integral part of cinema, but she has also played her part in the overall development of the country. With my performance ‘Shakti: The Power of Indian Women’, we are celebrating the strength and achievements of Indian women, their importance in the cinema world and their overall development.”
